What do gel prints, folded paper and stitching have in common? These simple, yet fun supplies and techniques make great handmade journals. Handmade journals are useful for keeping your schedule, a diary, to do lists, writings from your heart, sketches, tangles, travel photos, to give as gifts, and much more.
Join me in learning the process of making your own journals. Learn my tips and techniques for making unique art covers, finding the paper grain, having fun with stitching designs, findint eht best tools, choosing the right paper, and finishing tips that will make your journals look professionally made.
The first class in this series will cover:
making your own gel prints to use as cover material and end sheets.
learn about basic tools and supplies.
a special technique for finding the paper grain.
make five journals with 1-2-3 signatures; 3-hole punch, chain stitch, 2-signature patterns, and a special 3-signature pattern.
All supplies and tools are included in the $75 class fee. Also included is coffee or tea, and a light, finger-food lunch.
Class is scheduled for 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM and will be located in my studio. The address will be provided in the welcome email.
