Location: 2182 Comox Ave - The Little Red Church
Cost: $85
Hands-on projects and lessons include:
Aaron knitting - aka knitting cable stitches is a beautiful process of saving stitches on a “cable” needle and holding in the back or front to make your knitwork twist and turn in different directions. Sometimes the pattern can be difficult to understand. We can help with that! This class will cover the terminology, techniques and have you working successfully cable knitting in no time.
Short Rows – Knitting a few stitches, turning and knitting back the way you came results in interesting shapes. Check out this hands on class where you will work through a series of short row samples.
Dropped stitches and holes, oh my! – During this session you will work through a series of exercises creating a dropped stitch and then repairing the mishap. The team will also demonstrate (and record) how to fix a hole in a knitted piece.
Shopping anyone? Uptown Yarns will join us with a beautiful selection of wool and tools.
