Knitter’s Day Out 2025
Come enjoy a day with our wonderful local community of knitters who enjoy sharing, learning new techniques, and just having fun being together.
This special Knitter’s Day Out is packed with technique and project lessons, tips for keeping your body relaxed, delightful class kits, sharing, healthy lunch, shopping, and fun.

Hands-on projects and lessons include:
Lace knitting – we supply the yarn and written instructions, and you bring the needles. You will make a small usable lace knitted bag.
Felted soap – we supply the roving in blank and colour options with written instructions, and you bring your favourite bar of soap.
Finishing and blocking techniques – learn about those special touches and techniques that make your finished piece look more professional with a great fit.
2-stranded colour knitting - learn about the technique of carrying two strands of yarn to make a colourful practice square. We supply the yarn and instructions, and you supply your favourite size of needles.
Shopping anyone? Uptown Yarns will join us with a beautiful seclecion of wool and tools.
