At the last Knitter’s Day Out many students indicated on the survey that they would like to learn more about knitting Cables. Knitting cables into a project is my newest favourite technique.
You will learn the terminology and techniques of knitting cables with or without a cable needle.
Date: November 14, 2026 Time: 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Location: 2182 Comox Ave - The Little Red Church House
Cost: $45 Class limited to 20 students
Hands-on projects and lessons include:
I will provide enough yarn to complete the sample project.
You will learn the various codes and terms for cable knitting.
Learn how to use a cable needle to aid in twisting the knit stitches.
Why is the purl stitch so important in the process?
You will complete a small sample of cable stitches while putting into practice cable codes.
Written instructions are included as well as the class video.
Class is limited to 20 students!
What you need to bring to class:
Knitting needles in size 4 or 5mm
Cable needle (I will have a selection of cables needles to share if needed)
Something to drink in a sealed container
