Come spend a day with our wonderful local community of knitters who enjoy sharing, learning new techniques, and just having fun being together.
This special in-person Knitter’s Day Out is packed with technique and project lessons, tips for keeping your body relaxed, delightful class kits, sharing, healthy lunch, shopping, and fun.

Hands-on projects and lessons include:
Casting on and off – Learn several methods for casting stitches on your needle to begin your project. There are countless methods of casting off that produce unique edges. Learn a few special methods that you might want to try on your next project.
Mosaic Knitting – This technique results in the look of double-stranded knitting with the advantage of working with one colour at a time. You will work on a sample swatch to learn the process, and then we will share where you may find additional resources.
Add beads to any project – During this session you will work along with the instructor adding beads in various ways making a sampler. The sampler, written instructions and video will help you prepare to add beads to your next project.
How does one add a zipper closure on a knitted project? This session will answer that important question with a great demonstration. You will be able to use the video to help you in the future.
Shopping anyone? Uptown Yarns will join us with a beautiful selection of wool and tools.
